So I'll be in the Dragon*Con art show in just two weeks and I've been working like crazy to finish up new pieces for it!

Here's a peek at a few of the pieces that I will have displayed:

Under the Mattress character concepts

I'm slowly working on a new take of the Princess and the Pea and having way too much fun designing the characters- I get to research all sorts of neat clothing for it!

Fiddler's Green

I was visiting my sister in San Francisco and doodled this sketch of the bar we went to. The cider was tasty.

Olympic Diver Study

During the Olympics I watched a lot of the Diving events and was fascinated with how they were doing the dives. I couldn't figure out what they were doing, so I started freeze framing a couple of dives to breakdown how they were done.

"Gesundheit"- The Bar

An unfinished scene from "Gesundheit", a story about a little village that has a resident demon who wakes up when there is a sneeze.

This scene has cleaned Keys and Breakdowns, rough Inbetweens, and rough demon keys.

"Gesundheit" Characters and BG

A character page and background for "Gesundheit," a story about a little village that has a resident demon who wakes up when there is a sneeze.
I'm moving this project to the back-burner so I can rework the story and figure it all out before returning to it. I'll post the unfinished scene this background belongs to in just a bit.

BFA Show Guestbooks

I made a custom pair of books to match the flyers for the BFA Illustration Animation show I am in. I can't wait to see these books again in another week filled with comments.

Flagship Mercury Storyboards

A storyboard scene done for practice.

Life has been busy! And in being busy I started updating only my tumblr art blog. It is time to kick that habit and post here more often again.

"Gesundheit" Trailer Animatic

This is part of my Senior Project. I'm developing the longer story for an Animatic, but will be animating the trailer for the look and feel of the finished product as I put together a large pitch packet.

LA Zoo Visit

I went to the LA Zoo a few weeks back as a quick break from my classes and did some watercolor studies of the animals.

I have a lot of in-progress projects right now, and have been posting WIP pictures on my tumblr.

Life Drawing; Costume Figure

Some of my drawings from Costumed Figure Drawing this past semester. We had a ton of neat models, and this is only a small fraction of what I did in the class.

Final Book and Paper Sample

I had a Book and Paper making class this semester, and for my final projects I took a preexistng book apart, put an animation into its pages, and rebound it back into its original cover in a different method, then used my paper to create a stop motion continuing the book animation. It was interesting to do, but rushed with the rest of my finals, so I may try another sort of animation like this down the line.

Painting Parody

Another Illustration project, where we had to parody a famous painting. I used The Rapture of Psyche by Bouguereau and went the route of a bad vampire romance.

I did this in Costumed Figure Drawing this week, and had a blast working on it. Ink and Gouache.
